Most NC counties require safety only. Guilford — including Greensboro — requires both safety and emissions for any vehicle 1996 or newer.
You can inspect up to 90 days before your current sticker expires without losing any time on the new one.
Driving on an expired sticker is up to a $250 fine plus license points. The grace doesn't last forever — beat the date.
State-set fees. Safety alone is $13.60. Safety plus emissions in counties like Guilford is $30. We don't add to those numbers.
If your vehicle fails, we provide a clear list of what needs fixing. Repair with us and we re-inspect at no additional inspection fee within 60 days.
