Most last 50,000–100,000 miles depending on roads and load. Bouncy ride, harsh impacts, or a nose-dive under braking? Time for an inspection.
Both dampen suspension motion. Struts are structural — they hold the wheel in place and affect alignment. Shocks are pure dampers. Your vehicle has one or the other per corner, not both.
Quickly. Worn components cause uneven and accelerated wear, sometimes ruining a $600 set of tires in months. Suspension repair is tire insurance.
Sway-bar links: 1–2 hours. Strut replacement: 3–4 hours. We'll give you an accurate timeline after the diagnosis.
